A New Government
So, we now have an alleged "new" government. Except we do not. Same old politics same fucking results. destruction for Joe Public and the rich lice-ridden Tories get away with everything.
The "new" rates for energy will actually pay better for those who are richer than the usual guy on the street, typical Tory payoffs. However, do we really know what the next 3 or 4 months are going to be? No, of course not. Now, me, I'm old. When I was a kid come December we had snow without fail. Now snow is rare in England, not so much in Scotland and the north of Scotland gets it worse.
So, at present, we have no idea about how the temperatures will be, or if we'll even get snow. Playing Johnson's....opps Devil's advocate should we get a bad winter, and I'm hoping we do not, things could get seriously dicey. Could we fall back 50 years? In 1973-74 the UK had a three-day week to conserve electricity. Hopefully, this will not come to pass. Though there are plans to implement just in case. Personally, I don't think Dis-Truss(ed) has done enough for small businesses and the like.
Way too many pubs/clubs and others are facing the end of their livelihood unless a major plan is placed into action. It's going to still be tough for the man on the street as it is. Will this situation continue? Heck, yes. It's going to be bad, and stay bad until Russia and their dictator are out of Ukraine.
Then things should settle down over the next 9 months or so. Pricing is still going to be dicey folks till probably 2024/25.

Great to see there's more concern about the temperatures. Frankly, it's sad that things like denying it is "normal" in some communities.
ReplyDeleteA very big shift towards orthodox mentality is happening i feel to oppose the "millenials" that are cropping up in the world. It is mostly how things will be and would require a huge change in mentality for it to be effective
